SEPTEMBER 2020: ‘BLOCK DIWAS-TARGETS & ACHIEVEMENTS’.

16th SEPTEMBER

  AKHNOOR
  • An Awareness Drive was organized under Mega Block Divas by Sub Division Magistrate Akhnoor in all four blocks of Akhnoor Sub Division- block Akhnoor, Maira Mandrian, Choki Chora and Bhalwal Brahmana.
  • In the awareness programme Deputy Commissioner of Jammu District personally checked the all activities of twenty three department.
  • The concerned Sub Division Magistrate, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar and other staff of Tehsil and Sectoral officers of Sub Division Akhnoor were present.
  RAMBAN
  • District Administration Ramban organised Block Diwas in all blocks of the district under “Jan-Abhiyan” a massive public outreach program
  • As part of Jan- Abhiyan, District Development Commissioner (DDC) visited various areas of Sub- Division Gool and presided over a mega public outreach programme at Block Gundi-Dhram.
  • The DDC promised to improve service delivery and redress the public grievances, during Awami Sunwai Muhim.
  • The DDC also distributed Domicile certificates, Soil Health Cards, MG-NERGA Payments of Rs. 3.5 Lakh, payments of NRLM to SHGs, KCC cards among the beneficiaries.
  • He also handed over the sports kits to local youth besides providing inheritance mutation to owners of land. 
  KATHUA
  • Public Grievances Redress Camps in Hiranagar and Kathua were held to mark First Block Diwas. Along with SSP, the District heads of line departments were also present.
  • At Hiranagar, BDC Chairman and deputations from panchayats of Dinga Amb, Marheen and Hiranagar blocks presented their issues related to road connectivity, water scarcity, veterinary dispensary, menace of drugs etc.
  • At Kathua, Panchs, Sarpanchs and people from Keeriyan Gandyal, Barnoti, Kathua and Nagri blocks registered their grievances. Issues ranging from Pending MGNREGA payments, road repair, water conservation projects, monkey menace in Kandi areas were highlighted by the deputations.
  • On the occasion hundreds of Domicile certificates, Income and Category certificates were also distributed among the applicants.
  KISHTWAR
  • As a part of the Jan Abhiyan /Awami-Muhim, a series of activities were held to mark Block diwas across this District.
  • Programs were held at identified places of 13 blocks under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner.
  • Stalls were installed by the departments displaying various individual and social security schemes meant for labourers, farmers, old aged and handicapped persons.
  • On the occasion around 500 certificates viz income, domicile certificates, ST & SC and RBA certificates were also delivered to the beneficiaries on spot at Block head quarter Bonjwah, Block Paddar Block Inderwal, Mughal Maidan, Paddar and Nagseni.
  UDHAMPUR
  • As a part of the pre back to village programme, District Administration Udhampur celebrated Youm-e-Block/Block Diwas in all Blocks of District Udhampur where BDC Chairpersons chaired the main function.
  • Additional Deputy Commissioner, the nodal officer directed the PHE authorities to regulate and ensure the water supply in all panchayats and replace the damaged pipes at an earliest.
  • R&B and revenue authorities were asked to complete the compensation process.
  REASI
  • As a part of Jan Abhiyan, District Development Commissioner Reasi along with Senior Superintendent of Police attended the Block Divas events at Katra, Pouni and Reasi blocks.
  • The Specific issues raised at the camps included sanction of Sports Stadium at Katra, completion of New Busstand work at Katra, quality Education, improvement of power scenario, augmentation of water supply, construction of Roads under PMGSY, Campus for Kendra Vidyaalya ,construction of houses under PMAY, timely MANREGA payments and issuing of Aadhar cards.
  BHADARWAH
  • Block Diwas was organized at Drudhu area of District Bhadarwah on Wednesday.
  • ADC Bhadarwah and BDO Bhadarwah presided over the function, saying that this programme is aimed at to complete all pending works of B2V-1 and B2V-2 and to get prepared for forthcoming Back To Village Programme 3.
  • Besides , officers of Social Welfare department, Forest, Police, Agriculture, Horticulture and others were present on the occasion.
  RAJOURI
  • As a part of the ambitious Jan bhghidari Abhiyan, District Development Commissioner along with Senior Superintendent of Police listened to the people’s issues here on the occasion of the maiden block Diwas held at Manjakote.
  • Specific issues which were raised during the programme include sanctioning of additional community and individual bunkers for the block, sanctioning of funds under BADP and pension of different categories for the eligible persons, conduct of BPL survey to include the left out eligible beneficiaries under the scheme, installation of street lights, adequate staff in PHC Manjakote, provision for electricity poles, fixation of raw material rates for construction material etc.
  • The district administration redressed 2355 grievances pertaining to PDD, PWD, Revenue, ICDS, Jal Shakti, School Education, Police and health departments projected during Jan Sunwai held across the district.
  • And 4690 domicile, 210 category and 263 income certificates were issued on the spot under Jan Adhikar session in different blocks of the district.
  POONCH
  • As a part of Jan Abhiyan, District Development Commissioner along with Senior Superintendent of Police presided over the function of Block Divas at Block Headquarter Lassana, Surankote and Bufliaz.
  • The specific issues raised at the hearings included augmentation of water and power supply, completion of work on PHE schemes, repair of road from Seri Khawaja to Neriya, Madana to Nabana, registration of water connections, repair of electric poles, repair of transformers, completion of Surankote to Fagla road, Surankote to Gunthal PMGSY road, SKT to Bufliaz road, aadhaar seeding, repair of electric poles, transformers, High School Fazlabaad to Dandidhaar PMGSY road, Bufliaz to Surankote road.
  BARAMULLA
  • Block Divas was celebrated in Uri and Paranpeela blocks where the Joint Director Planning and District Information Officer Baramulla presided over as Visiting Officers for the respective blocks.
  • Meanwhile, several income certificates were also distributed among the identified beneficiaries.
  • The nodal officers said that cent percent saturation shall be achieved in individual beneficiary schemes adding that special focus shall be given to welfare and people oriented programmes in the upcoming phase of Back to Village campaign.
  • DIO informed that government has released Rs 10 lakh to every panchayat halqa in which Rs 20,000 shall be utilized on purchasing sports items as a move to promote sports culture among our youth.
  DODA
  • The maiden (Block Diwas) under Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim was celebrated across the Seventeen blocks of the district under the supervision of DDC Doda.
  • The DDC Doda attended the Block Diwas in the four blocks of the Gandoh Sub division i.e Gandoh, Chilli, Changa and Jakyas
  • While attending the Block Diwas at Gandoh the DDC handed over Domicile certificates to the concerned individuals, power tillers to the eligible beneficiaries on 50% subsidy basis provided by the horticulture departments.
  • Departments like Agriculture registered the left out beneficiaries under KCC and PM kissan, health department registered the beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat scheme, on spot disbursement of cases under KCC were also done by Bank’s, soil health cards and MGNREGA job cards were also distributed among the beneficiaries.
  • Social Welfare Department conducted the registration of left out individuals under various pension schemes.
  BUDGAM
  • Chief Secretary launched Block Diwas (Youm-e-Block) at Budgam with inauguration of its first phase at Kanihama Narbal.
  • Chief Secretary was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, SSP Budgam, ACD and other concerned district officers.
  • Chief Secretary took stock of pendency of Domicile and income certificates and directed for early  issuance of the same.
  • He also instructed for speedy disposal of the cases under the PM Kisan scheme as the scheme ensures financial help to the farmers when they need it the most.
  • Referring to issues relating to power and water supply, CAPD, Social Welfare, Health and other departments, Chief Secretary reiterated every effort will be made to ensure that supplies relating to basic needs shall always be in time with all quality parameters.
  • Chief Secretary urged upon the people to take advantage of Ayushman Bharat health scheme as it envisages better healthcare prospects particularly for poor and under privileged class.
     

23rd SEPTEMBER

  DODA
  • The 2nd Block Diwas celebration program was held in all Seventeen blocks of the district. DDC Doda visited 4 blocks namely Kahara, Thathri, Gundna and Ghat Block.
  • DDC handed over the revenue papers of the land transferred to the concerned for the construction of ST hostel, BDC office and construction of Police post at Kahara.
  • During the visit to the Thathri block,the DDC laid foundation stone of the TRC at Bairshalla to promote the area as main tourist attraction.
  • The DDC also handed over the power tillers to the beneficiaries provided by the horticulture department on subsidy basis, besides also visited the Trauma centre Thathri wherein he inaugrated the ICU facility set-up with 5 ventilators and 2 cardiac monitor’s to effectively deal the Covid-19 cases, responding the need of the hour.
  • At many designated locations the concerned Officers/officials of revenue department distributed the domicile, income and different category Certificates among the beneficiaries, police department also distributed birth and character certificates at Thathri.
  • Agriculture department distributed soil health cards and sponsored the KCC cases and registered the beneficiaries under PM kissan on spot, Ayush department distributed immunity booster medicines among the locals, besides the names of various leftout beneficiaries were recorded by various departments dealing in individual benefit schemes such as social welfare, banks, fisheries, ICDS, health etc.
  • Also, the 2nd Block Diwas was also celebrated in all 4 blocks of the Sub Division Gandoh namely Bhalessa,  Jakyas, Changa and Chilly-Pingal with enthusiastic participation of the locals.
  BHADERWAH
  • The 2nd Block Diwas witnessed enthusiastic participation of PRI members and locals as they projected a wide range of issues of public importance during interaction with the officers of different departments.
  • Sarpanches and panches of all panchayats led by Block Development Chairman participated in the event.
  • The program was chaired by Additional Development Commissioner, Bhadarwah and attended by Tehsildar, BDO and officers of  various other departments viz Health, Animal husbandry, Sheep  Husbandry, Forest, Floriculture,  Horticulture, Agriculture, RDD, ISM, Fisheries , Child Development, Sericulture, Social welfare department, District Motor Vehicle Department and others were present.
  • Various departments including Ayush Herbal India showcased their services and disseminated awareness about different schemes by putting up stalls.
   

30th SEPTEMBER

  SRINAGAR
  • Block Diwas/ Youm e Block, a part of ambitious Jan Abhiyan programme was observed across all the districts of Kashmir division, during which concerned District Development Commissioners (DDC's) and other officers listened to public issues, grievances and demands.
  • The DDC's on the occasion highlighted the objectives of the Jan Abhiyan, Jan Sunwayi, Dehi Taraqiyaati and Poshan Abhiyan programmes informing the public that these grand public campaigns are aimed at reaching out to the people for redressal of their grievances and addressing developmental issues. SHOPIAN The DDC visited several areas of tehsil Keegam and took stock of demands and issues of the public here.
  • The DDC distributed Domicile certificates, Sports material, KCC, Horticulture passbooks, health cards and category certificates among the beneficiaries of various villages.
  KULGAM
  • The DDC visited block Pombay, Manzgam and other blocks where he presided over mega functions, organized in connection with the Block Divas.
  • He distributed various certificates, sanctions letters and also distributed blankets among PMAY beneficiaries.
  • The Block Diwas was held in all 11 blocks of district, where concerned officers and officials from line departments listened to the people for on spot redressal of their issues besides organising awareness, registration and distribution programme. Among others, A-SP, ADC/DPO, BDO, Tehsildar and other officers besides members of PRI's were present on the occasion.
  KUPWARA
  • Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kupwara chaired Mega Block Divas of 4 blocks including Kupwara, Drugmulla, Hyhama and Qadirabad.
  • The ADC Kupwara said that the objective of conducting programmes like Jan Abiyan/Awami Muhim and Block Divas is to bridge the gap between Government and the people to ensure every citizen is provided necessary public services and is covered within the ambit of various welfare schemes
  BARAMULLA
  • The Deputy Commissioner held a day long Jan Sunwai in Narvaw block of the district that witnessed the overwhelming participation of different stakeholders including BDC chairperson, PRIs.
  • The DDC distributed cheques worth Rs 45 lakh as financial assistance among the registered labourers of Narvaw block.
  • He also distributed several income certificates, farming equipment, LPG chullas and other vital equipment among the identified beneficiaries.
  • The Block Divas was also celebrated in the Paranpeela and Uri blocks of the district during which a grand function was organized.
  JAMMU
  • The third and the last Block Diwas of the three week long mega public participation programme – Jan bhaghidari Abhiyan concluded successfully across Jammu Division.
  • On the final block Diwas, a series of activities were organised in all the districts, which witnessed overwhelming public response. The people in large numbers interacted with the officers and officials of different departments and apprised them of the issues and demands of their respective areas.
  RAJOURI
  • District Development Commissioner Rajouri along with a team of the District administration attended a public hearing programme at Nowshera block.
  • People from all sections of the society including BDC Chairpersons, Sarpanchs, Panchs, senior citizens, retired Government employees, women and youth took part in the programme and projected the issues related to various sectors of the Government.
  • On the occasion, the DDC also distributed 43 domicile certificates among the beneficiaries.
  SAMBA
  • District Development Commissioner attended the Block Divas function along with Senior Superintendent of Police and listened to the public grievances at panchayat Ghar Supwal.
  • The DDC laid emphasis upon enhancing activities to promote rural economy in the villages issuing setting up of aloe Vera unit, bamboo unit and other such activities that will lead to self sufficiency in the rural areas.
  • It was informed that over 1248 Domicile Certificates, 150 SC certificates, 19 ST certificates, 26 OBC, 09 ALC, 32 Driving Licences, 291 labour cards, 182 Income Certificates and 19 PM Kissan cards in block samba under Jan Adhikar Programme.
  POONCH
  • District Administration Poonch organized three mega Block diwas events at block Mendhar, Balakote and Mankote.
  • District Development Commissioner visited all the three blocks.
  • On the occasion the DDC distributed KCC Cards,Category Certificate, baby kits, Domicile certificate and labour Card.
  • The Labour department provided cheque worth Rs. 70,000 to two beneficiaries as Education Assistance (Rs 30,000) and Medical assistance under chronic diseases ( Rs 40,000).
  KISHTWAR
  • Additional District Development Commissioner attended block diwas at block Marwah and block Warwan.
  • Similarly, Additional Deputy Commissioner presided over the block diwas at block Thakrie and block Palmar in presence of the BDC Chairpersons.
  • Responding to the demands of the locals, he assured to meet the same in a given time.
  • Other blocks of the district viz Paddar, Drabshalla, Kishtwar, Chatroo etc also witnessed similar block Diwas events where the officers listened to the grievances of common masses.
  DODA
  • The 4 blocks of the Sub Division Gandoh witnessed enthusiastic participation of the locals, PRI members, designated Officers/officials of various departments, including the frontline staff.
  • SDM Gandoh distributed 150 different Certificates including Domicile, Income, Horticulture Passbook, etc. among the beneficiaries.
  • The 3rd Block Diwas witnessed enthusiastic participation of locals and PRI’s in all the Seventeen blocks of the district.
  • The District Development Commissioner Doda visited four blocks of the district namely Bhagwah, Kastigarh, Assar and Khaleni.
  • During the visits the DDC, distributed Domicile certificates, Soil health cards, Power tillers, Horticulture Pass Books, KCC sanction Letters among the beneficiaries at different locations, besides listening to the grievances of the general public and solved many of them on spot.
  RAMBAN
  • Administrative Secretary, Department of Tribal Affairs listened to the public issues at Batote at the Block Diwas event.
  • The Secretary directed the DSWO to accommodate the applicants against weed out cases for pension benefits under different schemes. The CEO was directed to conduct a safety audit of school buildings identified by the PRIs.
  • She directed the district administration to ensure rehabilitation of all affected families of landslide hit Dhalwas area before the start of winter season.
  • The PRIs and individuals apprised the secretary about the demands of the public including availability of potable drinking water, rehabilitation of affected families, old age pensions to eligible persons, completion and up-gradation of roads.
  KATHUA
  • District Development Commissioner Kathua alongwith SSP Kathua presided over Jan Sunwai proceedings at Bani block headquarter.
  • The 3rd Jan Sunwai was held for remote Blocks of Duggan and Bani where PRI members and a large number of individuals participated in the proceedings.
  REASI
  • District Development Commissioner Reasi along with Senior Superintendent of Police presided over the function of 3rd Day Block Divas at Thuroo, Mahore and Chassana in presence of the District and sectoral officers.
