OCTOBER 2020: ‘BLOCK DIWAS-TARGETS & ACHIEVEMENTS’.
14th OCTOBER
REASI
District Development Commissioner Reasi conducted an extensive tour of Arnas and listened to grievances of people of Arnas, Thuroo, Jij Bagali and Thakarakote blocks as part of the Block Diwas.
A large number of people including PRIs of Panchayats Kanthan, Kanthi, Judda, Salal, Dhanour, Thuroo, Hunder, Jij, Gari, Chinkah, Thakrakote and various other Panchayats turned up to register their grievances.
The DDC assured the PRIs that all their issues would be taken into consideration met in a time bound manner. The DDC instructed officers for effective implementation of government schemes like ICDS, PMKSN, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojna and other programmes.
Similar Block Diwas events were held for listening public grievances at Reasi, Mahore and Katra where public gathering put forth their problems before the designated officers.
KULGAM
The functions of the mega block diwas were held at block Devsar, Kulgam and D H Pora blocks of District Kulgam. To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam remained available at Block D. H. Pora and listened to grievances, issues and demands of people for redressal.
The programme witnessed immense response from the public from all blocks besides, officers and officials from all line departments remained abuzz with listening issues, grievances and demands of people for on spot redressal.
During the Mega Block Diwas officers and officials also organised awareness, registration and distribution programmes.
DODA
The Block Diwas is being continuously conducted for redressal of public grievances on every Wednesday in Doda, Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Thathri and Assar which witnessed enthusiastic participation of locals across the seventeen blocks of this District.
The entire program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner.
ADC Bhaderwah, ACR Doda, SDM Gandoh, Thathri and Assar, attended at the block diwas to take the appraisal about the grievances raised by the people and services being provided to them during the program.
21st OCTOBER
ANANTNAG
District Administration Anantnag organized Block Diwas cum redressal camp at SDM office Dooru which was attended by a large number of local people besides, presidents of various Auqaf Committees, civil society members and prominent citizens.
The Auqaf Committee representatives, general public and civil society members apprised the DDC regarding various issues and demands and sought their immediate redressal.
BUDGAM
The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam attended the Block Diwas program .
On the occasion, the line departments of the district had installed stalls at the venue depicting and demonstrating various kinds of services, products and schemes meant for public welfare.
He took an opportunity to inform the public at Soibugh that Panchayat Raj institution will have three tiers in place, 14 constituencies have been notified in district for upcoming District Development Council.
He also distributed ladli beti certificates and uniforms among school going students.
PULWAMA
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama today listened to public issues and grievances at Pampore block and redressed hundreds of grievances on the spot.
Block Divas was also held in block Tral and Pulwama under the oversight of ADC Tral and BDO Pulwama respectively, where detailed discussion was held regarding different developmental projects besides issues being faced by the common masses of different panchayats
GANDERBAL
District Administration Ganderbal, organised Block Diwas at different locations of the district to listen to the public grievances and raise awareness on individual beneficiary oriented schemes.
The DDC instructed officers for effective implementation of government schemes like ICDS, AYUSHMAN Bharat, PMKSN and other programmes to ensure cent percent saturation of schemes and appealed people to get benefit of individual beneficiary oriented schemes meant for providing financial support to them.
SHOPIAN
District Administration Shopian celebrated Block Diwas in 3 blocks Zainapora, Keller and Shopian where the concerned Chairpersons chaired the main functions.
The people of Shopian, Zainapora and Keller blocks apprised the concerned nodal officers about various problems being faced by them, the designated officers listened to the public grievances patiently and assured the public for early redressal.
KULGAM
Mega Block Diwas functions were held at 3 blocks of the district Viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H.Pora.
During Mega Block Diwas officers and officials of all line departments listened to public issues, grievances and demands for redressal besides, raising awareness about various schemes and conducting registration and distribution programmes.
POONCH
Under the overall supervision of the District Development Commissioner, Block Diwas was organised at block Mehndar.
Public raised a number of issues pertaining to their areas including inadequate water supply, need for macadamization and renovation of roads, upgradation of schools, better health services and related issues.
The DDC gave on the spot directions to the concerned departments for early redressal of the same.
On the occasion, a number of revenue documents and other Government services were provided to the common masses.
28th OCTOBER
ANANTNAG
The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag chaired the Block Diwas cum redressal camp at Sub Division Kokernag.
He issued on spot directions to AEE PMGSY for starting construction work on 1 km Takiyamagam road for, besides Jal Shakti Department was also instructed to start laying of 1200mtr water pipes for the said village and ensure regular tanker service for Indarwan and other Gujjar paties of Sagam.
He assured for development of 1200 kanal state land under JKHM PC for augmentation of fruit Mandi and other multiple purposes.
He also assured for upgradation of PHC Sagam and said that the matter will be taken up with Director Health Services.
GANDERBAL
The District Development Commissioner Ganderbal visited Block Lar where he presided over the grievance redressal camp and listened to the issues of people.
During the camp, a large number of people including PRIs from Lar, Safapora and Wakura blocks turned up to the camp and apprised the DDC about various issues and grievances and sought his intervention for early redressal.
The resource persons of various departments also raised awareness on individual beneficiary oriented schemes available with their concerned departments so that eligible persons can avail the benefits.
BUDGAM
The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam attended the Block Diwas or public outreach program at Govt. Girls High School, Block Nagam.
The DDC instructed all District/Sectoral officers to remain sensitive to all the genuine issues and grievances registered by the public.
The DDC distributed Ladli Beti certificates and uniforms among school going students.
On the occasion various line departments had installed stalls at the venue depicting and demonstrating various kinds of services, products and schemes meant for Public welfare.
BANDIPORA
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora visited Sumbal Sub-Division to review the progress of the developmental activities and also held an interaction with the public as part of the Block Diwas.
He also distributed domicile certificates among several beneficiaries.
District Development Commissioner Bandipora said all the developmental activities are being monitored and it is being ensured that the ongoing works are completed on time.
SHOPIAN
Block Diwas programme was today observed in three blocks Shopian, Zainapora and Keller of district Shopian during which the concerned officers listened to public issues, grievances and demands.
The concerned officers on the occasion highlighted the objectives and aim of the Jan Abhiyan, Jan Sunwayi and Poshan Abhiyan programmes informing the common masses that these public campaigns are aimed at reaching out to the public for redressal of their grievances and addressing the developmental issues.
KULGAM
Mega Block Dewas was today held at 3 blocks viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H.Pora blocks of the district.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam distributed sanction letters under PMEGP, KCC and prosthetic aids among the eligible beneficiaries besides various certificates including domicile and income among the applicants.
BARAMULLA
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla visited Kangroosa village of Rafiabad where he chaired a public grievance camp and listened to various issues and demands meant for the overall welfare and development of the area.
Meanwhile, the DC issued on-spot directions to various concerned officers with regard to the redressal of some issues and demands for which the people expressed gratitude to the administration
