NOVEMBER 2020: ‘BLOCK DIWAS-TARGETS & ACHIEVEMENTS’.

4th NOVEMBER

BUDGAM
  • The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam addressed the public during the outreach program at Govt. BHSS, Block Khag
  • DDC appealed to the public to use water and electricity judiciously and distributed monetary assistance among Mothers with newborn babies, Ladli Beti certificates and wheelchairs among specially abled people.
  • The line departments of the district had installed stalls at the venue depicting and demonstrating various kinds of services, products and schemes meant for public welfare.
  GANDERBAL
  • The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal listened to public issues at Block Headquarter. The DDC sought an action taken report on all the previous issues projected by the local people.
  • Block Diwas programs were also organized at different places of the district including Lar and Kangan blocks where people in large numbers interacted with the officers and officials of different departments and apprised them of the issues and demands.
  KULGAM
  • Mega Block Diwas was held today at 3 blocks viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H.Pora in the district.
  • The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands along with concerned officials, remained available at Block D. H. Pora and listened to issues and grievances of people for timely redressal.
  • The programme witnessed massive response of the public in all 3 blocks and officers and officials from all line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of people for on spot redressal.
  RAMBAN
  • Block Diwas camp was today organised here at Batote.
  • District Development Commissioner (DDC) presided the camp.
  • Similar, camps were held at five designated locations in the district.
  • The PRIs and individuals apprised the DDC about public issues and sought potable drinking water supply, augmentation of power infrastructure, speeding up Aadhar up-dation, check on overcharging of fare on local routes, renovation of PS Champa, sanctioned strength of staff in health centres, block topping of Chakwa road, filtration of water, maintenance of Rakhjrogh road, power curtailment in winter season, health sub centre for Sana, sanction of PMAY houses, solar lights for Panchayats, repair of hand pumps, employment for youth in ongoing national projects and other issues of public interest.
  REASI
  • Additional Deputy Commissioner presided over the Block Diwas proceedings at Katra.
  • Scores of issues related to water supply, Power, road, transport, ration, ICDS, Nutrition, education, health were resolved on the spot and others were documented and forwarded to the concerned department for immediate remedy.
  • Several grievances were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt resolution through an established tracking system. In the programme, a review was also taken by ADC on all the previous issues flared up by local people.
  • Similar events were also held at Arnas, Mahore and Reasi where public put forth their problems and sought their immediate redressal.
       

11th NOVEMBER

RAJOURI
  • District Development Commissioner Rajouri presided Block Diwas programmes at Kalakote, while similar events were held at other identified locations.
  • The resource persons of the different departments explained to people about the socio-economic development schemes. A number of domicile certificates and other Government services were provided to the general public.
  • The DDC’s on the occasion highlighted the objectives of the Jan Abhiyan, Jan Sunwayi, Dehi Taraqiyaati and Poshan Abhiyan programmes informing the public that these grand public campaigns are aimed at reaching out to the people for redressal of their grievances and addressing developmental issues.
  REASI
  • District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi conducted an extensive tour of Arnas and listened to public grievances of people hailing from Blocks Arnas, Thuroo, Jij Bagali and Thakarakote.
  • The PRIs apprised the DDC that they are facing hardships due to lack of adequate staff in health centres and schools besides poor power and water supply, poor net work, road connectivity and issuing of Health cards, up gradation of PHE and PDD infrastructure and renovation of school buildings.
  • Similar programmes were also held at Mahore, Katra and Reasi.
  RAMBAN
  • District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban listenined to the public grievances at Block Diwas meeting at Banihal.
  • Similar events were held at five different locations of district Ramban.
  • The DDC directed the Assistant Labour Commissioner Ramban to hold monthly camp at Banihal to enable the labourers to reap the benefit from various welfare schemes launched by the government for them.
  • The DDC listened to issues, grievances and demands highlighted by the PRIs, deputations.
KATHUA
  • Deputy Commissioner Kathua held a public outreach programme at Block Headquarter Billawar and also reviewed the ongoing works of Rural Development Department.
  • Public delegations hailing from Billawar, Mandli, Gujjroo Nagrota, Baggan, Duggain and Lohai Malhar blocks besides scores of individuals met Deputy Commissioner and projected problems and demands related to road connectivity, potable drinking water, uninterrupted power supply and other matters of vital public significance.
  • Public Grievances Redress programmes were also held at Basohli, Bani and Hiranagar where people apprised their grievances to the sub-district and sub-division administration.
  POONCH
  • District Development Commissioner listened to public issues during a Block Diwas program held at Block Surankote.
  • A series of activities were also organised at different places of the district viz Mendhar, Mandi and Poonch which witnessed overwhelming public response
  • During the programme, PRI members and locals raised demands of their areas including augmentation of water and power supply, Medicare facility and various specific issues i.e; water scarcity at Bufliaz Taranwali, and Potha, repairing of damaged Motor of the lift Scheme at Potha, inclusion of left out under AAY, repairing of irrigation kul at Draba, repairing of PWD road at Rather Mohalla, and Surankote to potha and potha byepass to Danna Shaista link road.
  • The DDC also reviewed the progress of different sectors including Aadhar Seeding in CAPD deptt., Social welfare department, tagging of livestock of Animal Husbandry Department and progress of work of different works of B2V phase 1st and 2nd.
  DODA
  • The weekly Block Diwas programme for redress of public grievances was held in Doda, Bhalla, Gandoh, Thathri and Assar which witnessed active participation of locals across the seventeen blocks of the District.
  • The program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner
  • As many as 244 grievances/applications were received during the program out of which 237 were redressed by the respective departments on the spot, besides several services which includes 42 category certificates, 302 Domicile certificates and 18 different revenue papers were also provided to the people on the spot.
       

18th NOVEMBER

BUDGAM
  • District Development Commissioner presided over the proceedings of Block Diwas/public outreach programme at Sheikhpora Budgam.
  • During the day long programme various deputations including from adjacent areas apprised the DDC of their issues, grievances and demands.
  • DDC distributed hearing aids and other supportive kits for physically disabled persons sponsored by DSWO Budgam.
  • He also distributed sanction letters and cheques sponsored by many departments among the concerned beneficiaries.
  • The DDC visited the stalls established by various departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep and Animal Husbandry, Social Welfare, Handicrafts, EDI, J&K Bank, DIC and others concerned.
  BANDIPORA
  • The DDC on the occasion highlighted the objectives of the Jan Abhiyan, Jan Sunwayi, Dehi Taraqiyaati and Poshan Abhiyan programmes
  • More than two dozen delegations besides scores of individuals include representatives of Panchayat Raj Institutions called on the Deputy Commissioner and apprised him about the problems faced by them in day to day life.
  • The DC gave patient hearing to the delegations and passed on-spot directions for redressal of their genuine grievances.
  • ADC Bandipora was apprised about the progress of various developmental activities besides reviewing the implementation of various state and centrally sponsored schemes in the sub division. He also interacted with the public to assess and get the first-hand account of the public grievances.
  PULWAMA
  • District Development Commissioner today listened to the public at Pulwama block and redressed hundreds of grievances on the spot.
  • During the Public hearing various delegations, individuals, deputations from Panchayats apprised the DDC about the issues and submitted memorandum of demands pertaining to their respective Panchayat Halqas.
  • Meanwhile, Block Divas was also held in block Tral and Pamporewhere locals flagged their issues to the concerned officers and sought their early redressal.
  KULGAM
  • Mega Block Diwas was held today at 3 blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H.Pora blocks.
  • To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands the District Development Commissioner remained available at Block Devsar and listened to the public issues, grievances and demands for redressal.
  • Apart from DDC, officers and officials from all line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of people for on spot redressal.
       

25th NOVEMBER

  BUDGAM
  • The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam visited Khansahab Block Headquarter and conducted a public hearing programme.
  • The DDC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the grievances on spot and in the context of other demands and issues required to be redressed at higher level, he assured that the same will be forwarded to concerned authorities at an earliest for immediate considerations.
  BANDIPORA
  • Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora attended the Block Diwas and said that all the developmental activities are being monitored and it is being ensured that the ongoing works are completed within the stipulated time.
  • At Gurez and Sumbal, Sub Divisional Magistrates listened to the public grievances and got the first hand appraisal of the public
  KULGAM
  • The Mega Block Diwas was today observed at 3 blocks viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H.Pora of the district.
  • On the occasion, functions were organised at all the three blocks during which several activities were carried out including awareness about various governmental schemes, listening to public issues grievances and demands besides others.
  • To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam remained available at Block Kulgam and listened to the public grievances, issues and demands.
  • All officers and officials from line departments listened to the public issues, grievances and demands for redressal at block Devsar and D H Pora.
