JANUARY 2021: ‘BLOCK DIWAS-TARGETS & ACHIEVEMENTS’.

7th JANUARY

  POONCH
  • District Administration Poonch, under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner organised Block Diwas. The District Development Commissioner, Poonch presided over the Block Diwas function at Mandi.
  • A series of activities were also organised at different places of the district including Poonch, Mendhar and Surankote.
  • PRI members and locals raised demands of their areas seeking augmentation of water and power supply, medicare facilities, construction of road from Gungam to Brachar, blacktopping of Loran- Sawjian road etc and other issues related to day to day life.
  • DDC also made the public aware of Forest Rights Act and urged upon them to contribute for ensuring the safety of forests which is a valuable gift of nature to mankind.
  DODA
  • The entire program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner.
  • As many as 71 grievances/applications were received during the program, all of which were redressed on spot on priority basis.
  • 11 category certificates, 166 Domicile certificates, besides 25 different revenue papers were provided to the people on spot.
  • Adding to this 57 students were also covered under scholarship scheme, besides 33 ration cards were seeded during the program.
  KISHTWAR
  • District Development Commissioner presided over the weekly Block Diwas/Youm-e-block in the premises of TRC Chatroo.
  • The Block Divas proceedings at Chatroo witnessed the participation of over 300 locals and the PRI members from different parts of the block.
  • Several delegation projected their demands and grievances which included the Posting of Doctor in the local PHC, augmentation of Power Receiving Station, payment of land compensation to land owners at current price, establishment of Fire station, conduct of special DG recruitment Drive in the block, payment of pending MGNREGA wages, electrification of Titwan village.
  • Similar block diwas proceedings were held at block Drabshalla.
 

13th JANUARY

  • KULGAM Organised Mega Block Diwas at 3 blocks of the district to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
  • During the Block Diwas, functions were organised at Devsar, Kulgam and D.H.Pora blocks of the district and officers, officials from line departments listened to the issues, grievances and demands of the general public for their timely redressal at all the three venues.
  • Several certificates including Domicile, RBA, income and other certificates were distributed among beneficiaries during the Block Divas.
  BUDGAM
  • The District Development Commissioner today conducted a public darbar at Sub District Headquarters (SDH) Chadoora under Block Diwas initiative.
  • DDC assured that Public outreach programmes have been initiated to have an on spot appraisal of the various issues/ demands that the people of the concerned areas are facing.
  • DDC visited several areas of Sub district Chadoora including the far flung area of Suresyar where he monitored the snow clearance operations and directed the concerned agencies to put all efforts together in making this remote area communicable.
  • DDC also inspected Primary Health Centre Suresyar and took detailed stock of health facilities available there.
  • The DDC was apprised that almost all areas of SD Chadoora have been made communicable, in addition about 90 percent of electricity have been restored, however due to extreme cold and frost, some areas are facing water scarcity and efforts are on to restore water supply to these areas on war footing basis.
 

27th JANUARY

BUDGAM
  • DDC Budgam convened a public outreach interaction programme at SDM Khansahab .
  • The people hailing from different areas of Block Khansahab attended the darbar and put forth their issues relating to problems faced by them particularly drinking water supply, restoration of power supply in the areas affected by recent snowfall, besides restoration of road connectivity of remote areas also came into submission.
  • The DDC added that District Administration is ensuring that public outreach programme shall prove fruitful and progressive initiative for future.
  • Similar programmes under the Block Diwas Initiative were also held at SDM office Chadoora.
